We recently made beeswax wraps with Malfroy’s beeswax as a holiday project with the kids. The smell was absolutely divine. While we were out on the verandah pouring the wax a local bee even started buzzing around which I took as a big sign of approval. I am so happy knowing it is 100% natural and free of any additives so it is safe for wrapping the school lunches and snacks. Highly recommend!!

We’ve used Tim’s beeswax for Gingham & Wax from the beginning. As makers of waxed wraps that are natural, reusable and biodegradable we also wanted them to be made with quality beeswax that was sourced locally. We were thrilled when we found Malfroy’s Gold was situated in our beautiful Blue Mountains and that their Warré Hives are never treated with chemicals. We also loved that Tim’s bees make their own cozy combs, instead of having to fit into an awful prefab plastic space, and he doesn’t interfere with their perfectly natural way of making honey and honeycomb. The wax is also such a beautiful rich colour, which makes out wraps look and smell incredible!

There’s gold, and then there’s Gold. Emma + Tim's beeswax really is something else entirely. A honey fragrant song of Blue Mountains country, dense golden bars of goodness still vibrating with sounds of the bush. Imbuing our skincare with aromatic depth and living ancestral medicine to heals, nurture and protect. Something magical happens when I blend the melted beeswax with my sun-infused plant extracts. As if both substances recognise each other’s botanical origin, and together become whole again. To me, their synergy is a dance of Nature’s gifts that never ceases to amaze me. Thank you both, always, for letting us use your precious beeswax, it truly is my holy grail.

More valuable than gold. The most pristine beeswax you can find. It fills my house with such joy when I get creative. Thanks @malfroys_wild_honey

Our 100% Pure Australian Beeswax is from bee-friendly Warré hives, located in the Blue Mountains wilderness and woodland forests of the Central Tablelands.

When genuine surplus honey is harvested, we press the combs of honey to produce liquid honey. The remaining pressed 'cake' contains a mix of wax, honey, bee bread (fermented pollen) and propolis.
This cake is washed in rain water to clean the wax.

The honey water is then used to make a simple mead or hydromel (using ‘wild fermentation’ from naturally occurring yeasts in the bee bread).
The resulting fermented drink is very healthy and slightly alcoholic.

The washed wax is then melted and filtered through simple paper or cloth filters and poured into moulds.

Our beeswax is clean wax suitable for making candles, salve and balms, leather seal, furniture polish, food wraps and many other things.

As our bees are not exposed to any agricultural or urban areas, and we allow the bees to construct 100% natural combs, the beeswax is guaranteed to be of the highest quality and purity.

Our beeswax blocks are the result of a natural process, therefore, the colour of our wax will change slightly from season to season depending on which flowers the bees have been foraging on. However, most of our wax has a golden yellow color.
